A farmers’ fair was organized at the Banda Agricultural University campus in Uttar Pradesh. At this exhibition, hundreds of booths were set up to provide special information to help farmers become self-reliant and double their income. Multiple departments, including the agriculture department, livestock department, and food department, come together to provide information to local farmers through Progressive Farmers. In this sequence, a buffalo is brought to the Kisan Fair and is said to be worth over Rs 25 lakh.
Farmer Prince Shukla told us that this was the calf of the famous buffalo Yuvraj, worth 90 million rupees. It was named “Bahira”. It weighs over 10 quintals and is 27 months old. It eats carrots and green vegetables. He also eats grass all the time and 15 kilograms of grains every day.
Prince said he served him like family. Take a bath twice a day. When Bagheera was born, he drank all the milk his mother gave him. Farmers do not use buffalo milk elsewhere. Bhagira alone drinks about 15 liters of milk every two times.
This breed of buffalo is known for its semen which is highly prized. People paid a high price for this cross. The buffalo born thus can produce 8 to 12 liters of milk at a time, and the milk production lasts for a long time. As a result, farmers’ business increases and so does their income.
Children of this breed become smaller after two years. By serving it, its value increases. Farmer Prince Shukla was highly praised by the Agriculture Minister and officials present today. All farmers have been appealed to increase their income by raising better breeds of cows and buffaloes. The government also provides subsidies for this.
