Pranay Kumar, a YouTuber from Sircilla, Telangana, got into trouble when the video of his recipe for making ‘Peacock Curry’ went viral on social media. This viral video has spread outrage over allegations of promoting illegal wildlife consumption. The forest department arrested Kumar on Sunday and inspected the area where he cooked ‘peacock curry’ and shot the video. Kumar is facing charges under the Wildlife Protection Act.
Officials allege that the video not only promotes but also involves killing of this protected species. Forest officials are checking the validity of the video and have collected samples for forensic examination.
Strict action will be taken
Sircilla Superintendent of Police (SP) Akhil Mahajan said that a case has been registered against Kodam Pranay Kumar under the relevant law. Along with this, strict action will be taken against him and any other person doing such acts.

The forest department arrested Pranay Kumar on Sunday and inspected the area where he had cooked curry and shot the video. It is also told that Pranay’s bloom sample and the leftover curry have been sent for testing and if the test confirms it to be peacock meat, then strict action will be taken.
