November 17, 2024: South Indian actress Nayanthara has published a strongly worded open letter targeting actor-producer Dhanush over her ongoing legal battle over her Netflix documentary, Nayanthara: Beyond Fairy Tales. The letter comes after Dhanush reportedly refused to use any clips or songs from the 2015 blockbuster. Nanum Roddy Daanwhich he produced. In the three-page letter shared on her social media, Nayanthara claimed that Dhanush’s actions stemmed from personal enmity and that his refusal to issue a no-objection certificate (NOC) was hampering the documentary Two years in the making. “Your decision to deny permission was not based on business, but on revenge. Even lyrics with deep emotional value were denied,” she wrote.

Nayanthara accuses Dhanush of having a grudge

Nayantara expressed disappointment over Dhanush’s alleged behavior, claiming that it was not in keeping with his character. She details how Nanum Roddy DaanOne of the films she holds dear, despite its cultural and personal significance, was excluded from the documentary.

She further accused Dhanush of being hostile since the release of the blockbuster film and said, “It has been almost 10 years since the film released but your dissatisfaction with its success and the things you said have left incurable scars.”
