The Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh has given a big gift to the devotees on the occasion of Shri Krishna Janmashtami. Now devotees will not have to climb 350 stairs to reach the temple of Shreeji situated on Brahmachal mountain in Mathura. Now the government will start a 210 meter long ropeway, through which devotees will be able to reach the temple of Radharani in just seven minutes.

This ropeway built in Barsana of Mathura has been constructed at a cost of Rs 25 crore. This ropeway will be the first in western UP and the third ropeway in the state. Earlier, ropeways have been started in Chitrakoot and Vidhyanchal. Now it is being started in Barsana for the darshan of Braj’s queen Radharani.

The work of ropeway started in 2016

Preparations for this ropeway have been going on since 2016 and its up-down trial and load testing have also been done. Its construction work was delayed first due to NOC and then due to Covid. However, now it is completely ready. The length of this ropeway is 210 meters, while the height is about 48 meters. The ticket for both sides will be around Rs 110. This ropeway will be operated according to the timing of opening of the temple and darshan.
