Yati Narasimhanand Giri of Dasna Devi Temple on Friday posted a video asking the Yogi Adityanath government to He was released from “illegal detention” to enable him to respond to the PIL filed against him. Narasimhanand claimed in the video that he could be murdered by a “trained killer”. He said that before his death, he wanted to clarify his claims about the Prophet, and to do so he needed to gather evidence from authentic Islamic books. “I want to produce evidence of what I said before the High Court so that proper justice can be done because justice cannot be done without understanding the position of the person who is declared a criminal,” he said.

Yeti said, “I cannot collect evidence in this detention, I have to collect evidence from different sources for this.” He was arrested for making hate speech against the Prophet Muhammad at the event, sparking widespread protests.

The PIL filed by Mumbai residents Mohammad Yusuf and Zakir Hussain Mustafa Sheikh sought removal of Narasimhanand’s controversial remarks from all social media platforms.
