Yogi is the most popular CM of the country, Mamta’s graph also increased… know at which number Kejriwal is

In Aaj Tak’s Mood of the Nation (MOTN) survey, people from 30 states across the country were asked who they consider to be the best Chief Minister of the country. The results of this survey have come out. Some interesting facts have emerged from the opinion of the public in this survey.

According to the Mood of the Nation survey, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has topped the list as the most popular Chief Minister. Survey data shows that in August 2024, 33.2% people considered him the best Chief Minister. However, in February 2024 this year, his support was 46.3%. In the survey conducted in August 2023, 43% people considered Yogi as the most popular Chief Minister.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has secured the second position, but his support has decreased from before. In August 2024, 13.8% people considered him the best Chief Minister, while in February 2024, 19.6% and in August 2023, 19.1% gave him their support.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee was at the third place in this list. Even after the Kolkata incident, her popularity graph has increased as compared to before. In August 2024, 9.1% people supported her, which has increased slightly from the previous survey (February 2024 – 8.4%).

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin got the support of 4.7% people, which is less than 5.5% in February 2024 and 5.6% in August 2023. Similarly, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu got the support of 4.6% people. Let us tell you that he was included in this survey for the first time.

The support for Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has also increased. 3.1% people supported him in August 2024, which was 1.9% in February 2024 and 1% in August 2023.

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar also received some support but could not reach the top positions.

It is clearly visible from the Mood of the Nation survey that the priorities and choices of the public have changed with time. While on the one hand some Chief Ministers are winning the hearts of the public with their performance, on the other hand some are facing a decline in their support.

People in every state were also asked how satisfied they are with the work of their Chief Minister. According to this survey, Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang has emerged as the most popular Chief Minister in his state. In August 2024, 55.7% people expressed satisfaction with his work, while this figure was 26% in February 2024 and 32.5% in August 2023. This is a big jump, which shows the increasing acceptance of his work.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has also made his mark in this list as a popular Chief Minister in his state. In August 2024, 50.8% people expressed satisfaction with his work, which was 48.6% in February 2024 and 49.2% in August 2023.

Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendrabhai Patel got the support of 46% people. However, his support has declined, as the figure was 42.6% in February 2024 and 55.3% in August 2023.

Unlike Bhupendrabhai Patel, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee has improved her position. In August 2024, 45.5% people were satisfied with her work. Whereas, this figure was 32.8% in February 2024 and 32% in August 2023. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu got the support of 44.4% people. Naidu has been included in this survey for the first time.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s support graph was 44.4%, which was 36.5% in February 2024 and 57.7% in August 2023. There has also been a decline in his support. Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu got the support of 40.6% people while Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin got the support of 39.9% people.

The support of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has decreased to 38.9%. This figure for Yogi was 51.3% in February 2024 and 46.9% in August 2023. On the other hand, Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha got the support of 38.4% people, which has decreased compared to February 2024.

This survey makes it clear that the opinion of the people of the state regarding the performance of their Chief Minister is constantly changing. In states like Sikkim and Assam, the Chief Ministers have increased their popularity, while in big states like Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat, the Chief Ministers have faced a decline in their support.

This survey is an important indicator of the changing mood of the public in Indian politics, which tells which Chief Minister’s work is most liked by the people of their state. It will be interesting to see in the coming times whether these Chief Ministers are able to maintain their popularity or a new face will make his place in this list.

Aaj Tak Mood of the Nation Survey was conducted between 15 July and 10 August 2024. The opinion of 1,36,436 people was taken in this survey. This survey was conducted in 543 Lok Sabha constituencies across the country, through which an attempt was made to understand the thinking and opinion of the public. This survey brings out the thinking of the public on the current situation of the country.
