In an interview with India’s The Hollywood Reporter, Yash said that after “KGF” Chapter 2, he is shooting for his next film “Toxic” in Los Angeles and is learning the ways of working in Hollywood. There, he met Namit Malhotra, the boss of visual effects houses DNEG and Prime Focus, who was responsible for the visual effects on “Toxic” and who was also producing “Ramayana” and was a co-producer on the film.
Yash said that he is discussing with Namit how to take Toxic to the next level and what content will be interesting. Meanwhile, Namit talks to Yash about Ramayana, which he has been working on for years. Yash said, “He talked about what his vision was and how it became difficult for him to assemble actors for the film. I liked that guy and really liked his vision. We all had a common vision: to be successful with the Indian audience So our ideas came together and suddenly, hesitantly, he asked me ‘Do you want to be a part of this?’ Will you play this character (Ravan)?
Yash further said that it doesn’t matter to him whether the character in the film is a villain or a hero, but the character should be strong. Yash said that due to Namit’s vision, he agreed to collaborate and co-produce Ramayana with him.

Yash also spoke about the casting of Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi in ​​the film. He said that when he joined the film, only Ranbir Kapoor’s name had been finalized.
