After this fine, the Bangladesh team has slipped from sixth to seventh position in the WTC points table. It now has 21 points. However, the ranking in the WTC points table is determined on the basis of the percentage of wins.

Shakib was also given this punishment by ICC

ICC has found Bangladeshi spin all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan guilty of violating the Code of Conduct Level 1. Due to this, Shakib has also been fined 10 percent of his match fee. He has also been given a demerit point. Let us tell you that Shakib threw the ball towards Pakistani wicketkeeper batsman Mohammad Rizwan in the 33rd over while bowling in the second innings.

Indian team tops the points table

This is the third season of the ICC World Test Championship, which will run from 2023 to 2025. The ICC has already released the rules related to the points system for this third season. The team gets 12 points for winning a Test match, 4 points for a draw and 6 points for a tie.

100 percent points are added for winning the match, 50 percent for a tie, 33.33 percent for a draw and zero percent for losing. A total of 24 points will be available in a two-match series and 60 points in a five-match series.
