India Today Mind Rocks has begun. Many big stars are going to participate in this big event being held in Bengaluru today, on 14 September. The first guest of the event was Chetan Bhagat. The name of his session was Fiction as Social Commentary in Modern India. In this session, he spoke to moderator Rajdeep Sardesai. Chetan, one of India’s most famous and successful writers, talked about his career and books at the ‘India Today Mind Rocks Youth Summit 2024’. Let us tell you what he said.

Chetan spoke on films and books

In the last 20 years, Chetan Bhagat has written many great books. Aamir Khan’s film ‘3 Idiots’ has been made on his book ‘5 Point Someone’. Chetan told that in this book he has told the truth about IIT. This is the story of his friends. ‘5 Point Someone’ and ‘2 States’ are two books written on Chetan’s life.

He said that a book containing stories from the life of any author brings out something or the other about the society. This is how art is made. There are some people who ask how did you make it, how did you write it. This is not right. If you want great art, then it will definitely offend you. Chetan said that banning a film and putting people in jail is wrong. Freedom of expression of other people is your freedom of expression. If you stop others from saying or doing something, then later it will happen to you.
