The Samajwadi Party has become active after the assembly by-elections were announced in Uttar Pradesh. Samajwadi Party national general secretary Shivpal Yadav has finalized plans to nominate Shobhavati Verma, candidate for the Kathari parliamentary by-election, and took a sharp aim at the BJP. He issued strict instructions to the PPP and the district government. In his speech, he said the government should work fairly and honestly. He further said that the names of officials who are working dishonestly should be written in red ink and the government will hold them accountable when it comes.
Addressing the public on electoral transparency, he said the Election Commission also directed the government to maintain impartiality. About the BJP, he said these people don’t work, they just talk and the people of Kathari will answer them with their votes.
‘Voters are threatened’
Let us tell you that Shobhawati Verma is the wife of SP MP Lalji Verma. The SP has given him a ticket in the Assembly by-elections held in UP. Shobhavati’s husband MP Lalji Verma said it was wrong that the district administration was calling voters from different districts and threatening them. He said he would win this election with more votes than the 17,000 votes he led over Kate Harry in the House of Commons election. Shivpal told workers that the BJP would lose all its seats in the by-elections held in the state and would step down in 2027.
What did Shivpal say?
He further said that the problems of youth have increased under the BJP government. They don’t find jobs, and the young people who do find jobs work through contracts and outsourcing, and these jobs pay very low wages. As for traders, he said small traders were also troubled as their places were raided due to GST. Farmers are unhappy with the current government and face raids by the power department. They were not given diammonium phosphate fertilizer. He also said women are not safe in this administration, bulldozers are being used to harm innocent people and murders in prisons are increasing. He said no one was more dishonest than the BJP.
