Donald Trump offered few details on Monday about a new cryptocurrency business that the Republican former president, his family and associates unveiled during a live event at X Spaces.

Trump gave a wide-ranging discussion covering the second assassination attempt against him on Sunday and his transformation from a cryptocurrency skeptic to an embracer of cryptocurrencies.

But neither he nor his family have disclosed details about the company, World Freedom Finance, including how it was founded, how it will be financed or what services it will provide.

It’s unusual for a presidential candidate to launch a new business on the eve of an election, but Trump has been looking to win over digital asset advocates and their money ahead of Election Day on Nov. 5.

Trump, who previously derided cryptocurrencies as a scam, embraced digital assets during his re-election campaign, promising to make the United States the “crypto capital of the earth” with light regulation and a national Bitcoin reserve.

Trump’s two eldest sons, Eric and Donald Jr., have been promoting the project in recent weeks, promising that it will “transform” the world of digital asset finance, but without revealing further details.
