In Rajkot, Gujarat, a man had a dispute with his female business partner over accounting. After this, the young man beat up the woman. Police say that this incident is of 19 August. A young man named Chirag Chandarana punched and slapped his business partner in the shop. This incident has been captured in the CCTV installed in the shop. Police has arrested the accused.
According to the information, there is a clothing store named ‘Value Face Studio’ located on Amin Marg in Rajkot. This store was being run by Chirag Chandarana and a woman in partnership for the last three years.

On the day of Rakshabandhan, 19 August, Chirag settled the accounts of the shop with his adopted sister and business partner and demanded Rs 2 lakh. When the woman asked Chirag to pay by cheque, he refused to accept the cheque and demanded cash. During this, an argument started between the two.

The argument between the two escalated so much that in a fit of rage, Chirag punched and slapped the woman 8 times within 5 seconds. The entire incident was captured on the CCTV camera installed in the shop. After this, the victim remained silent for some time, but on September 7, she lodged a complaint at the Malviya Nagar police station.
On the woman’s complaint, the police registered a case and arrested Chirag Chandarana. However, the accused has been granted bail. There have been some speculations about the delay in filing the FIR, that the police had pressured the victim to settle the matter.
What did the police officer say about the incident?
Questions were raised on the delay in taking action by the police in this case. ACP BJ Chaudhary rejected this allegation and said that efforts were being made to resolve the matter by mutual consent between the victim and the accused, but it did not work out. The woman decided to file an FIR. After this, the police took immediate action and arrested the accused.
The victim said in her statement that she was trying to settle the matter before filing an FIR against Chirag, but when no consensus was reached, she took the legal route. After this incident, the police seized the CCTV footage installed in the shop. The police say that the accused will be produced in court soon and the matter will be thoroughly investigated.
