Will work on party’s shortcomings…Owaisi talks about AIMIM’s performance in Maharashtra

Asaduddin Owaisi

In the Maharashtra assembly elections, AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi’s party is entering the electoral battle alone. However, the party’s performance has been disastrous. Owaisi issued a statement on this. He said that in all the seats his party contested, we had a high vote share. However, the party failed to win seats. He said that we will discuss the shortcomings with party workers. Meanwhile, regarding Maratha reservation, he said that it is the party’s commitment to continue to raise the voice of reservation.

Regarding the claim that there is a Shiva temple in the Dargah of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti in Ajmer, Rajasthan, Asaduddin Owaisi said that the Ajmer Sharif Dargah represents the secular nature of India. He said that not only Ajmer Dargah but Salim Chishti Dargah is also under investigation. The Places of Worship Act should be observed.

“The Dargah has been in the same place for the past 800 years”

Earlier, Asaduddin Owaisi had tried to corner Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP on the Ajmer Dargah issue. Raising doubts over the Places of Worship Act, he accused the BJP and RSS of spreading hatred against religious places. Owaisi once said that the Dargah has existed at this place for 800 years. He said that starting from Nehru, all prime ministers sent chadars to the dargah. Every year, Narendra Modi himself offers a chadar at the dargah and has it sent. The rule of PM and RSS is weakening the rule of law in the country, all at the behest of the BJP-RSS.
