The Quad summit was held in the United States on Saturday (local time). US President Joe Biden chaired the meeting. During it, a reporter asked him whether the Quad would continue even after the US election in November. Putting his hand on Prime Minister Modi’s shoulder, Biden replied: “Long after November.”

During the Quad summit, Prime Ministers Modi, Joe Biden, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida took a group photo. Then a reporter asked Biden, “Will the Quad continue to exist even after the US presidential election in November?”
Biden put his hand on Prime Minister Modi’s shoulder and said, “It’s far beyond November.” Hearing his answer, all the leaders laughed. In fact, the United States will hold a presidential election on November 5, 2024. Vice President Kamala Harris is the Democratic candidate after Biden withdrew from the election. He will face the Republican candidate and former President Donald Trump.
India to host Quad summit in 2025
India will host the Quad Summit in 2025. Speaking at the summit, Prime Minister Modi said that we are happy to host the Quad Leaders’ Summit in India in 2025. He said: “I am happy to participate in this Quad Summit in my third term. Our meeting is taking place at a time when the world is full of tension and conflicts. In such a situation, it is very important for humanity that the Quad works together on the basis of common democratic values.
Prime Minister Modi said: “We are not against anyone. We all want a rules-based international order, respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity, and peaceful resolution of all issues. I once again welcome President Biden and colleagues.
Biden says: We know how to work
“We are a democracy that knows how to work,” U.S. President Joe Biden said at the meeting. “That’s why, early in my presidency, I met with all of you, went to all of your countries, and suggested that we make the Quad more effective. Four years later, our four countries are more strategically united than ever before.”
