The main fight in the Haryana Assembly elections is between the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Congress. The problem is that Mayawati’s influence among Dalit voters in states such as Haryana and Uttar Pradesh has declined significantly. In 2009, the BSP’s turnout was 6.7%, but this dropped to 4.2% in 2019. BSP is contesting in 37 seats in Haryana while INLD is contesting in 53 seats in Haryana. Chandrashekhar Azad has also fielded his candidates in 20 assembly seats, while Dushyant Chautala is contesting in 70 seats.

The second alliance was formed between the Chautala family’s party INLD and UP’s Bahujan Samaj Party leader Mayawati.
