Today is a happy day for Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Aam Aadmi Party. The Supreme Court has granted bail to Kejriwal. He can come out of Tihar Jail today. The court has given its verdict on two petitions related to Kejriwal. Aam Aadmi Party says that Kejriwal has got bail. Now he will take charge of the party’s campaign in the Haryana assembly elections and will implement the party’s strategy on the ground. Kejriwal’s release may increase the tension of BJP and Congress.

Actually, BJP has been in power in Haryana for 10 years. Congress is the main opposition party. So far both the parties have been showing strength in the election campaign. Indian National Lok Dal, Jannayak Janata Party are also in the fray. Arvind Kejriwal’s party AAP has also fielded its candidates on all 90 seats. AAP has the highest expectations from the rebel leaders of Congress and BJP in the elections. Unlike 2019, this time AAP has also expanded its organization and has also made a strong hold in many areas. However, it will be clear only after the election results how much magic of AAP has worked in the assembly elections? But, the release of Arvind Kejriwal has brought smiles on the faces of party leaders and workers.

Kejriwal’s release is perfect in terms of timing

Currently, Kejriwal’s wife Sunita Kejriwal has been seen leading the campaign in the Haryana assembly elections and has been campaigning vigorously in Kejriwal’s absence. She has presented Kejriwal as the son of Haryana and the lion of Haryana. The nomination process in Haryana ended on September 12 and now the campaign has gained momentum. The schedule of rallies of big leaders has been finalised. In such a situation, Kejriwal’s release is being considered perfect in terms of timing.

Now AAP will contest Haryana elections with full force

Since, Aam Aadmi Party has decided to fight the Haryana elections on its own. In Haryana, the organization of Aam Aadmi Party is very weak as compared to Delhi and Punjab and in such a situation, the candidates have the highest expectations from Kejriwal’s campaigning. After the alliance talks with Congress broke down, there is a rift in the opposition alliance as well. Experts say that with Kejriwal’s exit, not only can unity be seen in the organization, but it can also help in persuading the angry leaders and mobilizing them in the election campaign.

After Delhi and Punjab, AAP’s eyes are on neighbouring Haryana

For Kejriwal, Delhi is his political karmabhoomi and Haryana is his home state. Kejriwal’s ancestral village is in Kheda, Hisar in Haryana. Kejriwal has often associated himself with Haryana in political programs. Kejriwal is considered an expert in understanding the pulse of Delhiites. He has also made history by forming his party’s government in Haryana’s neighboring state Punjab. Now it is the turn of Haryana, the neighboring state of Delhi and Punjab. AAP leaders are also mentioning this in their election campaign. Kejriwal can also make this an issue in his election campaign and its effect can be seen among the general public as well.

Kejriwal’s release will give a booster to AAP

Experts say that Kejriwal’s release will give a booster to AAP and the party will become stronger. The organization will unite and it will be able to corner BJP and Congress through its biggest face. Kejriwal’s release is also considered a tension for Congress. Because AAP can make a dent in Congress’s vote bank on a large scale and can harm it.

Experts say that AAP is still trying to gain a foothold in Haryana and the bail of the party’s prominent leader can give it a psychological edge. This release can boost the morale of the party’s supporters. This can further strengthen AAP’s election strategy, especially in those areas where the party’s support base is weak. AAP can get a chance to create a positive narrative during the campaign. However, the election results also depend on many other factors.

AAP can harm BJP in urban areas

Along with Congress, BJP will also be worried that AAP can make a dent in their vote bank. Experts say that Kejriwal’s release cannot be called a relief for BJP either. Because, BJP has a good vote bank in urban areas and AAP is also gaining hold in urban areas. It is possible that AAP can make a dent in the urban voters through Kejriwal. This can cause loss to BJP.

Haryana has traditionally been a contest between the Congress and the BJP. The emergence of AAP can divide the votes, especially in urban areas and areas where people want change. This can harm the Congress or the BJP, especially in those seats where the contest is close. In such a situation, the Congress and the BJP may also have to change their strategy.

AAP raises the issues of education, health and corruption in its election agenda. Kejriwal’s release may bring these issues to the centre of the election debate.

AAP will try to make equations on the pretext of rebels

Another fact is that the families of some big leaders in Haryana are angry. They have not got tickets from both BJP and Congress. It is possible that such angry leaders can prove to be helpful for AAP. AAP has fielded such candidates in many assemblies who have performed well in elections before. Obviously, these candidates will trouble Congress a lot. If there is a dent in the anti-BJP votes, then Congress will have to bear the loss. There are at least 8 to 10 seats in Haryana where even if Aam Aadmi Party candidates cannot win, they can work to weaken Congress. In the 2019 Haryana Assembly elections, Aam Aadmi Party had fielded candidates on 46 seats in Haryana. But the party’s vote share was only 0.48 percent.

In which areas of Haryana does AAP have influence?

– In Haryana, AAP’s focus is especially on urban and town areas. Gurugram and Faridabad districts adjoining Delhi fall in the National Capital Region (NCR). AAP’s influence can be seen here. People of these districts are influenced by Delhi’s politics and policies. Due to the model of AAP government in Delhi, the party has created a basic support base here.
– Apart from this, AAP’s hold in Hisar is gradually increasing. This area has historically been under the influence of independents and regional parties, giving AAP an opportunity. Kurukshetra and Karnal districts are also close to NCR and AAP has tried to increase its base here too. Karnal is the home district of Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, so this area is strategically important for AAP.
– Sonipat and Panipat districts are also part of NCR and people here are affected by political events in Delhi. AAP has tried to strengthen its hold here on the issues of education, health and corruption.
– Rohtak is also an important district where AAP has tried to establish its hold. Congress has traditionally been influential here, but AAP has tried to establish its identity as an alternative here too.
– Bhiwani, Rewari and Jhajjar districts can also be important for AAP. Especially when the party is focusing on promoting its strategy in rural and town areas.

Voting for 90 seats in Haryana will be held on October 5 and the results will be declared on October 8.
