Will iPhone 17 Slim be the world’s thinnest smartphone? Big upgrade to selfie camera

The iPhone 17 Slim may be the world’s thinnest smartphone. Apple will launch this ultra-thin smartphone next year. The company will discontinue one model in the iPhone 17 series and launch a Slim model instead. Apple’s iPhone is only 6 mm thick. However, according to previous reports, the phone may be launched as iPhone 17 Air. This thin and light iPhone can replace the Plus model of the iPhone 16 series released this year.

The world’s thinnest smartphone

Apple analyst Jeff Poo said that Apple’s ultra-thin model will be very thin. Previously, Apple’s thinnest iPhone was launched about 10 years ago. All iPhones launched before iPhone 6 ranged in thickness from 7.6mm to 12.3mm. The thickness of the latest iPhone 16 series ranges from 7.8mm to 8.25mm. The company could use aluminum bodies in its upcoming iPhone 17 series, which would make them thinner and lighter. However, the Pro model will only come in titanium.

iPhone 17 Slim/Air Features (Potential)

iPhone 17 Slim/Air comes with a 6.6-inch display. Apart from this, the company can also use the A19 Bionic chipset powered by 3nm technology. 8GB RAM is available for the upcoming iPhone 17 series. Apart from these features, the company will also be giving a major upgrade to the phone’s selfie camera. The iPhone 17 Slim/Air launched next year could be equipped with a 24MP selfie camera, which will be better than the current 12MP.

The company can only offer one camera on the back of the iPhone 17 Slim/Air. Compared with other models of the regular iPhone 17 series, this phone has a completely new design. A 48MP camera sensor is available on the back of the phone. In addition, the phone also supports Face ID. In addition to the new design, the upcoming iPhone 17 Slim/Air is also equipped with artificial intelligence capabilities. It is said that Apple will launch the cheapest iPhone in the world in September next year.
