The Donald Trump administration has introduced a new rule, which requires all migrants in the United States, which takes evidence of its legal status all the time. This directive, Part of Trump’s executive order came into force on April 11, and its objective was to crack down on illegal immigration and millions of people illegally survive.
The Foreign Registration requirement (ARR) arises from the 1940 Foreign Registration Act. This particular law was also needed to register in the US, but it was never implemented continuously. However, the new rules will ensure strict implementation of the law.
WH Press Secretary, Curolin Levitt:
All illegal aliens present in the United States should be registered with the federal government for more than 30 days … If not, you will be arrested, fined, deported, never to return to our country again.https://t.co/a0h2lob3ta pic.twitter.com/wakkbrdafd

Effects on various groups
– Illegal immigrants: The new rule mainly affects the non -specified immigrants, which will need to register and carry the documentation.
– Legal immigrants: People with valid visas (work or studies) or green cards are considered already registered and will not need to fill the form again. However, they have to document them all the time.
– Indian citizens: Around 5.4 million Indians are in the US, with 220,000 illegal immigrants (2%of total illegal migrants). Indian citizens will not need to register with H-1B visa or international students, but they will have to document.
Non-transportation results
– Penalty and imprisonment: Failure to register can cause penalty or up to 6 months imprisonment.
– Exile: Registration does not guarantee permission to live in America. Without proper legal documents, individuals may face exile.
The DHS secretary said, “All non-citizens should take this documentation (registration proof) at all non-citizens 18 and above. The administration has directed the Homeland Security Department (DHS) to prioritize enforcement. There will be no sanctuary for non-non-availability.”
The new rule is part of a comprehensive effort to implement strict immigration policies in the US. The emphasis of Trump administration on enforcement is clear, with possible results for those who fail to follow the registration requirements.
