The Bharatiya Janata Party announced the list of candidates for the Maharashtra and Jharkhand elections without any delay, but the wait for the Uttar Pradesh by-election is not over. The Bharatiya Janata Party is yet to announce its candidate list for the by-elections to nine UP seats, with three days left until nominations close. The UP by-elections are considered as the semi-finals of the 2027 assembly elections. The names that the BJP has fielded from Ghaziabad Sadar constituency include Sanjeev Sharma, Mayank Goyal and Lalit Jaiswal. Bhola Diwakar, Surendra Diler and Mukesh Suryavanshi all hail from Khel seat in Aligarh. The names of Shefali Singh, Ramveer Singh and Manish Singh have been elected from the Kundarki seat. The names of Suresh Awasthi, Neeraj Chaturvedi and Neetu Singh have been selected for the Sisamau seat. The names of Suchismita Maurya, CL Bind and Uttar Maurya have been selected for the Manjhwa seat.
The Phulpur seat contains the names of Anirudh Patel, Deepak Patel and Kavita Patel and the Katehari seat contains the names of Awadhesh Dwivedi, Dharamraj Nishad and Ajit Singh. Names of daughters of Sanghamitra Maurya, Anujesh Pratap Singh and Union Minister SP Singh Baghel The Kajal seat in Manpuri is being discussed.
The Bharatiya Janata Party has formulated a special strategy
The BJP leadership is making every effort to ensure that the by-election results are 100% in favor of the BJP. To this end, the party has formulated a special strategy. UP’s list of candidates for the by-elections has been discussed at a meeting of the Central Electoral Commission that decides state candidates for the parliamentary elections, but before finalizing it, the party wants to consider all aspects in detail as the outcome of the by-elections will also affect 2027 parliamentary elections. Try solving the caste equation
SP used PDA in Uttar Pradesh by-elections. To counter the SP’s formula, the BJP is trying to solve the caste equation in every seat. It is believed that the BJP will decide candidates only on this basis and only backward groups and Dalit groups are likely to get more opportunities. If we look at the names sent by the UP BJP, most of them are from OBC and backward classes. Likewise, the RLD was not able to finalize the name of the candidate for the Meerapur seat due to caste issues.
Mirapur is important for RLD
Muslim, Jat and Gurjar voters play a decisive role in the Mirapur Assembly seat. RLD is trying to elect a candidate after the fuss. For this, the party is looking at clean faces and caste equations. RLD had allied with the SP to contest the 2022 assembly elections, but this time it has aligned with the BJP and has also included the central and state governments. Under such circumstances, this seat becomes very important to RLD. Former BSP MP Mulak Nagar and sitting MP Chandan Chauhan want their respective family members to contest from the Meerapur seat.
