Thick red sewage suddenly flowed out of manholes at some colonies in Subhash Nagar and Venkatadri Nagar near Jedimitra Industrial Park in Hyderabad city on Monday night. Local residents began to suffocate due to the water flowing on the road. The foul smell of water has spread throughout the area. As a result, older adults begin to experience difficulty breathing. Additionally, people began to experience symptoms such as coughing, red eyes, and burning sensations.
Chemical waste is being released
Local people complained to the local municipality on a large scale. In this case, they learned that some warehouses in the Jedimetla Industrial Area were discharging large amounts of waste containing chemicals, which was being discharged directly into the drains.
