But it is also true that Rahul Gandhi, after going abroad, often says such things against the Bharatiya Janata Party and RSS, which brings India into disrepute at the international level. However, BJP also benefits from Rahul’s trips. The party gets masala for a few weeks, with which the party continuously works to term Congress and Rahul Gandhi as anti-national.
Rahul Gandhi participated in two programs in Texas (USA) on 9th September in the morning as per Indian time. During this, Rahul Gandhi attacked BJP and RSS here as well, like his previous visits. Rahul Gandhi said that BJP is attacking the Constitution of India. He said that the fear of BJP has ended. This is the achievement of the people of India who said that we will not accept any attack on the Constitution of India. Obviously, such things must have been bitter for the Bharatiya Janata Party. Before Rahul’s speech, Indian Overseas Congress Chairman Sam Pitroda introduced Rahul Gandhi in such a way that ‘he is not Pappu’. The Bharatiya Janata Party also caught hold of this. BJP IT Cell chief Amit Malviya has written on social media, imagine that someone is introducing Rahul Gandhi in such a way that he is not Pappu and Sam Pitroda has done this.
1- Rahul’s Pappu narrative weakens
BJP has often argued that Rahul Gandhi lacks leadership ability and is not capable of solving the country’s problems. Generally, many people in the country more or less believe that Rahul Gandhi is an immature leader. But when Rahul Gandhi presents his views on various issues in a clear and logical manner during his foreign trips, the BJP’s narrative in the mind of the common Indian weakens. In a country where an English-speaking person is considered intelligent and capable, when people of that country hear someone speaking in foreign universities, they think that he must be a very intelligent person. The misconception of people who consider Rahul Gandhi as Pappu may not be dispelled.
Perhaps this is the reason why Sam Pitroda, chairman of Indian Overseas Congress, while introducing Rahul Gandhi in Texas, said that Rahul Gandhi has a vision. This is contrary to what BJP has spent crores of rupees on. He is not Pappu. He is a very educated person and has read a lot. He is a strategist who has deep thoughts on any issue.
2- The government is troubled by Rahul’s propaganda against BJP and RSS in foreign media

When Rahul Gandhi criticizes the policies of the Modi government in the foreign media, it becomes a challenge for the BJP. Take the example of Texas. Rahul Gandhi said today that RSS believes that India is an idea, whereas we believe that India is made up of many ideas. We believe like America that everyone has the right to dream, everyone should get a chance to participate and this is the fight. The essence of this speech of Rahul Gandhi abroad comes out to be that everyone is not getting an equal opportunity to participate in India. Because Modi government is not letting this happen.
Rahul Gandhi says that the Constitution of India talks about respect for every language, religion, tradition and caste. The Constitution is the foundation of modern India. During the elections, I saw that people clearly understood that the BJP was attacking our tradition, language, state and history. Obviously, the whole world will know this as an attack on the Constitution. The world will feel that there is no such thing as law left in India. Even in 2023, during his UK visit, Rahul Gandhi had said many such things at Cambridge University which raised questions on Indian democracy. The BJP had even termed this visit as treason.
3-BJP is also worried about Rahul’s growing global identity
Rahul Gandhi’s emergence as a strong opposition leader in India and the popularity of his public speeches during his foreign trips become a matter of concern for the BJP. Whenever Rahul Gandhi interacts with the Indian diaspora abroad or talks about India’s problems on international forums, he emerges as an influential global leader. His speeches are covered in the international media, which further increases his political stature.
The BJP, especially the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is very sensitive about its image at the global level. Under Modi’s leadership, the BJP has put forward the story of India’s strength and development on international forums. In such a situation, Rahul Gandhi going abroad and speaking openly on issues like Indian democracy, human rights and freedom of expression makes the BJP uncomfortable. Secondly, through these foreign trips of Rahul Gandhi, the Congress presents him as an alternative to PM Narendra Modi.

Obviously, the opposition uniting under Rahul’s leadership is a big challenge for the BJP.
5- Rahul Gandhi’s association with the new generation is also a cause of concern for BJP
Another important aspect of Rahul Gandhi’s foreign trips is that he connects with Indian youth studying and working there. These youth have global ideas and perspectives, and they expect changes in Indian politics beyond traditional thinking. Rahul’s engagement with young Indian immigrants presents him as a progressive and modern leader.
