Why did China announce the deployment of troops in Pakistan? Do you know what problems Beijing’s move will bring to India?

Beijing: Meanwhile, India and China may have taken steps to ease four-year-old high tensions along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Ladakh, but Beijing’s statement has once again added to India’s concerns. In fact, China suddenly announced the deployment of troops in Pakistan to maintain security. Sources said Beijing would deploy PLA troops in Pakistan under the pretext of protecting its citizens.

Just a few days ago, a car bomb exploded in Karachi, killing many Chinese citizens. Beijing has since pressured Pakistan to allow its own security personnel to provide security for thousands of Chinese citizens working in the South Asian country, in what is seen as a major security breach. Last month, two Chinese engineers were killed in a bomb blast at the airport in Pakistan’s southern port city, the latest in a series of attacks targeting Beijing’s interests in Pakistan. Soldiers return to work on a project after vacation in Thailand.

China curses Pakistan

Such attacks and Islamabad’s failure to prevent them have angered China, prompting Pakistan to launch formal talks on a joint security management system. Reuters spoke to five Pakistani security and government sources with direct knowledge of the previously unreported talks and demands and reviewed a written proposal sent by Beijing to Islamabad. China allegedly wants to bring its own security personnel to Pakistan. However, an official said Pakistan has not yet agreed to this step.

What will India worry about?

If China deploys troops in neighboring Pakistan, it will increase India’s security concerns. He could use his posting in Pakistan as an excuse to conduct military espionage against India. This is not good for India’s security. Therefore, India’s concerns started to increase due to this statement from China. However, India has become wary of this matter. A written proposal sent by Beijing to Islamabad to Pakistan’s security agencies mentioned a clause that would allow security agencies and troops to be dispatched to the other side’s territory to assist in counter-terrorism operations and conduct joint strikes. An official said the remittance would be made after discussions, but Pakistani institutions opposed the proposal. (Reuters)
