There has been a big twist in the death case of Hollywood show ‘Friends’ fame actor Matthew Perry. Los Angeles Police has arrested 5 accused in this case. All of them are accused of selling ketamine drug to the actor, injecting it into his body and killing him. The name of Jasveen Sangha, known as ‘Ketamine Queen’, is also included in these five accused. After all, who is Jasveen Sangha and why did she get the name of ‘Ketamine Queen’?

Who is ‘Ketamine Queen’ Jasveen Sangha?

According to reports, Jasveen Sangha is a 41-year-old woman holding British and American citizenship. The administration had been keeping an eye on Sangha for a long time for doing business of dangerous drugs. It is being told that Jasveen Sangha used to run her drug operation from her home in North America. She used to keep drugs at her home, package them and sell them. Earlier, officials had also described his house as a ‘drug selling emporium’. Jasveen Sangha is being discussed in the country because of her Indian name.

Sangha kept ketamine, methamphetamine, cocaine and prescription drugs like Xanax in his house. Jasveen Sangha is accused of selling 50 vials of ketamine for Matthew Perry. Their price is 11 thousand US dollars i.e. approximately Rs 9.23 lakh. Sangha started his drugs business in June 2019. The investigation on him started in March 2024 when he was caught for selling methamphetamine drug.

Officials also raided Jasveen Sangha’s house. In this raid, administration officials recovered 79 bottles of liquid ketamine and about 2000 meth pills. This shows the extent to which Sangha was dealing in drugs illegally. In the documents submitted in the court in the case of Matthew Perry’s death, there are major allegations against Jasveen Sangha. According to them, Perry had taken ketamine drug from Sangha with the help of a broker named Eric Fleming.

Eric Fleming had purchased ketamine drug from Sangha and provided it to Matthew Perry. According to details, Fleming had taken drugs from Sangha on 13 October 2023, which he gave to Perry on 14 October. After this, on October 24, once again he gave drugs to Perry. Sangha had given 50 vials of ketamine to Fleming in two deals. It also included ‘Ketamine Lollipops’ as a bonus, which Sangha had sent for Matthew Perry after being happy with his big order.

What is Ketamine?

Ketamine is a general anesthesia drug. It is used in the medical industry to give anesthesia to the patient. Sometimes it is also used in depression, anxiety and pain management. Ketamine is available in powder and liquid form. This powder can be inhaled or taken orally. Its liquid form can be injected into a vein, muscle (intramuscular) or under the skin (sub-cutaneously).

Taking ketamine makes one dizzy and the person becomes intoxicated. Later he feels very worried. The person who takes too high a dose or overdose sees a distorted picture of his body, environment and time. They feel scattered or as if they don’t really exist, which is called depersonalization. The person starts feeling cut off from his environment, which is called dissociation. You start losing your senses.

How did Matthew die?

The body of 54-year-old actor Matthew Perry was found floating upside down in the swimming pool of his home in Pacific Palisades, Los Angeles. The post-mortem report of the actor, which came in December 2023, revealed that Matthew Perry died due to an overdose of ketamine drug and drowning in the pool. According to the post-mortem report, Ketamine drug was found in dangerously high levels in the actor’s body. Apart from this, drowning in the pool, coronary artery disease and addiction to a medicine called buprenorphine also played a role in the actor’s death. Perry was a victim of drug addiction for years, about which he had openly talked many times. Perry had been sober for 19 months before his death and had no relapses.
