When hundreds of American soldiers died on Lebanese soil, who knew who was causing the devastation?

On this day, October 23, 1983, hundreds of American soldiers lost their lives on Lebanese soil. Two buildings in the Lebanese capital Beirut were blown up by terrorists using a truck filled with explosives. American and French soldiers lived in these buildings. 241 American soldiers were killed in the explosion. Also known as the Beirut Military Camp Bombing.

The Beirut Military Camp Bombing was a series of suicide bombings that occurred in Beirut, Lebanon, on October 23, 1983.
