Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has compared YSRCP chief and former Chief Minister Jaganmohan Reddy to Pablo Escobar. Pablo Escobar was a drug lord of Colombia.

Chandrababu Naidu, while releasing a white paper on law and order and marijuana, claimed that he had never seen such a situation as it was when Reddy was the Chief Minister.

While talking about the menace of drugs, Naidu said in the Assembly that only one person can be compared with what happened in Andhra and that is Pablo Escobar. CM Naidu said that Pablo Escobar was a drug mafia, who sold drugs worth billions of dollars illegally and the leaders and people who opposed him were murdered.

Describing Escobar as a ‘narco-terrorist’, Naidu alleged that there was a similar situation in Andhra during the YSRCP government, when ganja was sold openly. He alleged that between 2019 and 2024, Andhra emerged as the ‘Ganja Capital’. During this, Naidu also vowed to crack down on drugs.

Who was Pablo Escobar?

Pablo Escobar is considered the world’s biggest drug mafia. He wanted to become the President of Colombia. He entered the world of drugs in the 1970s and within no time became a big drug mafia. He was also called ‘Cocaine King’.

Escobar was the richest drug mafia in the world at that time. At that time he had more than 30 billion dollars. It is believed that he had so much cash that even rats used to eat it. It is said that he had built a jail for himself, where the entry of the police was prohibited.

He was also arrested in 1976, but he was released. Later he also entered politics. In 1993, when Pablo Escobar was 44 years old, the police killed him in an encounter.
