Punjabi singer and actor Gippy Grewal has a good rapport with Bollywood superstars Aamir Khan and Salman Khan. Gippy had shared a photo with Aamir who was shooting ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’ in Punjab. Salman was also seen with him at an event of his film. But when Gippy met Salman for the first time, he was almost about to anger him.
Gippy has now told in an interview that he was meeting Salman a little too frankly for the first time and Salman was about to get angry because of this. But Gippy’s fellow star in the Punjabi industry, Diljit Dosanjh, came at the right time and handled the matter.
Gippy told the story of his first meeting with Salman
In an interview with Mashable India, Gippy shared the photo of his first meeting with Salman. He told that he had taken this photo with Salman during the shoot of the film ‘Ready’ (2011). Gippy said that his Hindi was not very good at that time, due to which he was very nervous about meeting Salman.
Gippy said that when he finally met Salman, while praising him, he said in Punjabi ‘Paaji bade dole-sholay banaye hain…’ Seeing this statement of Gippy and his style, Salman got confused and in reply he just said – ‘Haan?’
Diljit took over the matter
During this meeting, Diljit Dosanjh was also present with Gippy Grewal. Seeing Salman uncomfortable, Diljit went to Gippy and told him not to say such things as he was afraid that this might anger Salman. Recalling Gippy’s advice, Gippy said, ‘Diljit told me not to speak like this, he will get angry.’
Just a few months ago, Salman was seen at the trailer launch of Gippy’s Punjabi film ‘Maujhan Hi Maujan’. Both of them also posed together for the media.
In an old interview with PTI, Diljit Dosanjh had praised Salman. He had said that when he went to Punjab to shoot for ‘Bodyguard’, he too had gone to click a photo with him in great excitement.
