Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has clarified his statement on reservation in America and said that he was never against it. BSP supremo Mayawati has called Rahul Gandhi’s clarification misleading. Mayawati said that before BJP came to power, her government was in power for 10 years at the centre, but she along with SP did not let the SC/ST reservation bill in promotions pass.

The former CM of UP said that Rahul Gandhi’s talk of increasing the reservation limit in the country from 50 percent is also a hoax because if his intentions were clear in this matter, then this work would have definitely been done during the Congress government. Congress neither implemented OBC reservation nor SC/ST reservation properly.

The BSP chief said that when the Congress is not in power, it talks big about the interests and welfare of these neglected SC/ST/OBC classes for the sake of their votes, but when it is in power, it continuously works against their interests. These people should be cautious of this conspiracy of theirs.

The Congress leader said, “We are going to increase the reservation beyond 50 percent. I have been saying this repeatedly and have never been against reservation. Yesterday someone misrepresented my statement that I am against reservation. But let me make it clear that I am not against reservation.”

‘We need to be cautious of their drama…’, Mayawati furious over Rahul Gandhi’s statement on ending reservation

What did Rahul Gandhi say?

While answering the questions of students at Georgetown University in America, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi made a big statement about reservation. He was asked how long will reservation on the basis of caste continue in the country? On this Rahul said that Congress will think about ending reservation only when there will be fairness in the country. At present, such conditions do not exist in the country.

‘Forget about ending it, even thinking about it is a crime’, said Chirag Paswan on Rahul Gandhi’s statement on reservation

The Leader of Opposition said that when you look at the financial figures, it is known that tribals get 10 paise out of Rs 100, Dalits get 5 rupees out of Rs 100 and OBCs also get almost the same amount, the reality is that they are not getting participation. The problem is that 90 percent of the people of the country are not getting equal opportunities. Look at the list of every business leader of the country. Show me the name of a tribal, Dalit. Show me the name of an OBC. I think one of the top 200 is an OBC.
