People beat gongs and drums to raise funds
People showed their humanity after the death of a beggar in Kamam district of Telangana. People raised money to perform the last rites for the beggar. Normally, people would walk away after seeing a beggar, but when a beggar dies, the entire village falls into mourning. The people in the village showed their humanity, and the whole village raised donations, performed the last rites for the beggar, and officially cremated him. The villagers are proof that humanity still exists. The incident took place in Kamam district of Telangana.
Tatikonda Bhaskar, an orphan beggar from Golumpadu village in Vailamandal in Khaman district, passed away due to illness. A disabled man named Tatikonda Bhaskar has lived as a beggar in Golenapadu village for decades. His residence is the village secretary’s office. He always drives his tricycle to the village temple to beg from door to door. In this way, he could barely survive by filling his stomach with three meals a day. The beggar also developed friendship with the villagers.
Beggar died of illness
Because of the beggar’s sense of friendship, people often give him something. People often felt pity for him because of his disability and orphan status. People used to be very polite to him. People said he was an orphan beggar. We had helped him, but he had become very weak due to long-term illness. So he died suddenly.
Villagers show humanity
However, Bhaskar fell ill recently. He died during treatment. In my absence, all the villagers gathered together, collected donations and performed the last rites with great ceremony. In addition to this, the villagers held memorial ceremonies and organized food donations without realizing they were orphans. People are proud to be beggars.
