Meanwhile, a unique picture of teachers’ online attendance after the decision was revealed, surprising many.

Teachers sitting on tables and chairs on the national highway
Due to the online class regulations, the teachers of Ghatwa Tola Bochahi Primary School in Jamalpur block did something that surprised everyone. The flood reached the school on Thursday morning and the water has accumulated in the school for about 4 to 5 feet. Meanwhile, the principal and class teacher of the school dismissed the students but placed chairs on the national highway for students to attend online classes.

Principal Prabhat Ranjan, teachers Prem Kumar and Prashant Kumar worked in the scorching heat as they placed tables and chairs in front of the school on the main road (NH-80) leading to Bariyarpur-Munger. People walking on the main road were shocked to see the condition of the teachers.

The principal told us that the flood water has entered our school. We are sitting on the road because we are doing the attendance online. So people cannot go anywhere near the school. So, as per the department’s order, the department’s work can only be done sitting on the road. The department has been informed about this. Now whatever order is given will be followed. There are 56 students in the school.

All 51 schools in the district will be closed for three days

In view of the increasing severity of flooding in the area, DM Avnish Kumar Singh has issued instructions to all officials to remain alert. After identifying a total of 51 flood-affected schools in Munger, the DM said, it has been decided to close these schools for three days with immediate effect. A decision will be taken based on the future flood situation.

Rules for online attendance of teachers in Bihar

Let us tell you that S. Siddharth, Additional Chief Secretary, Education Department, Bihar, has issued strict instructions to implement online classes for teachers from August 27, 2024. He said that from October 1, only those teachers who have applied online will be allowed to receive their salary. If a teacher wants to take leave, he will first have to take permission from the principal and then apply through the e-Shikshakosh mobile application. If the teacher has to go out for assignments, then in such cases, a separate attendance option will be provided on the mobile application. With the consent of the principal, the withdrawal can be applied through the mobile application. The application can be used only within 500 meters of the school.
