In Kannauj district of Uttar Pradesh, Samajwadi Party leader Nawab Singh Yadav was arrested at midnight on charges of attempting to rape a minor girl. On one hand BJP is attacking the arrest of SP leader, while on the other hand it is being said that which job did the girl go to ask for at the age of 15. Whereas accused Nawab Singh has termed the allegations against him as a conspiracy.
Samajwadi Party has distanced itself from the accused Nawab Singh. Kannauj SP District President Kaleem Khan said that Nawab Singh Yadav is not in the Samajwadi Party at present. This is his personal matter and this incident has nothing to do with SP. On the other hand, party leader Juhi Singh said that when the girl was 15 years old, what kind of job was she looking for? Along with this, he has also demanded to conduct narco test of the victim and the accused.
He said, “This is an allegation against an old Samajwadi Party leader. I just heard the SP’s byte, the girl was 15 years old so what kind of job was she looking for? He had known Nawab Singh for a long time. A long time.” They talked on the phone in the morning and suddenly 112 is dialed, so if the girl has been molested, then the girl should get justice otherwise we demand a narco test. Earlier, BJP IT Cell Chief Amit Malviya had cornered SP and said that after Ayodhya, now SP leader arrested for attempting to rape a minor in Kannauj also. During the SP government, the accused Nawab Singh Yadav was called Mini CM. Nawab Singh Yadav is recognized as Dimple Yadav’s right hand and MP representative in Kannauj. What did the police tell?
Police said that late on Sunday night, Nawab Singh Yadav, manager of Chaudhary Chandan Singh College located in Kannauj Kotwali area and former block chief of SP, was arrested on charges of attempt to rape. SP Amit Kumar Anand said that on the complaint of the victim’s mother, the police have registered a case under several sections including the POCSO Act and the statement of the minor has been recorded after conducting a medical test. He told that late on Sunday night the police received a complaint that the accused tried to rape the girl. After this the accused was taken into custody in an objectionable condition.
