In fact, the Odisha government is going to launch the ‘Subhadra Yojana’ for women in the state. To avail the benefits of the scheme, any woman between the age of 21 to 60 years in Odisha can apply. With this, Rs 10,000 will be remitted in two installments to the woman’s account. The scheme has been launched for 5 years. For this, the state government has allocated a budget of Rs 55,825 crore. Subhadra Yojana is a welfare scheme initiated by the Odisha government to promote economic and social empowerment of women. In this way, women can become self-reliant by starting their own businesses.

Who can apply for this program?

  • Any local woman from Odisha can apply for the scheme.
  • The woman’s name should be linked with the ration card under the National Food Security Act (NFSA) or the National Food Security Scheme (SFSS).
  • To avail the benefits of the scheme, a woman’s family income should not exceed Rs 2.5 lakh.
  • Only women between the ages of 21 and 60 can apply for the scheme.

How do I apply?
To avail the benefits of the scheme, you have to visit the online application Subhadra portal. However, for offline application, you have to go to any Anganwadi Centre, Mo Seva Kendra, Block Office, Urban Local Body Office, Common Service Centre. The printed form will be available here free of cost. This form has to be filled and submitted to the nearest Common Service Centre. After submitting the form, the government will check it from its database. If any error is found in the form, your application will not be accepted. There is no need to pay any fee to apply for the scheme.

These women will not receive benefits

  • If you pay taxes then you will not be able to enjoy the benefits of the scheme.
  • If you are receiving pension of more than Rs 1500 per month or more than Rs 18,000 per year under any government scheme, then you cannot avail the benefits of this scheme.
  • Apart from this, if you are availing any scholarship then you will not be able to enjoy the benefits of the scheme.
  • If any woman has been or is currently serving as an MP or councillor then she cannot apply for the scheme.
  • Apart from this, if the woman has any current or former MP or MLA in her family, they will also not be able to avail the benefits of the scheme.
  • Apart from this, no elected public representative in any urban local body or Panchayati Raj body, except ward members or councillors, will get this benefit.

  • Aadhaar card – for identity verification
  • Passport size photo – a recent photo for identification purposes
  • Birth certificate – confirms the applicant’s age
  • Bank Account Details – To transfer funds.
