The US presidential election is becoming increasingly interesting. Donald Trump’s wife Melania Trump has surprised everyone by issuing a statement ahead of the first presidential debate between Democratic Party’s presidential candidate Kamala Harris and Trump on Tuesday. Melania had remained silent during the Republican Party candidate Trump’s presidential election 2024 campaign so far, but now she has suddenly issued a public statement and expressed her support for Trump.

Former US President Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris are scheduled to have a 90-minute debate on ABC News on September 10. In a video released before this debate, Melania Trump has targeted the Joe Biden administration for the rising inflation in America. Melania also said that efforts were made to ‘silence’ her husband Donald Trump.

In a black and white video shared on Instagram, Melania made it clear that she is strongly supporting Donald Trump in this election.

What did Melania Trump say?

At the beginning of the video, Melania says, ‘The results of the 2020 election have changed our (American people’s) lives forever. It has affected our standard of living, prices of food items, gasoline, security and even the geopolitical landscape.’

In the video, Melania claimed that restrictions are being imposed on freedom of speech in America. She said, ‘America is more divided today than it has ever been. It is becoming clear that freedom of expression faces serious challenges, as evidenced by the attempts to silence my husband.’

Melania has been seen very rarely since Donald Trump lost the last presidential election. She attended this year’s Republican Party annual convention, but even during this time she was not seen publicly commenting on the US elections or speaking in support of Trump.

‘I would be happy if…’

She has not been seen in Trump’s campaign either, about which Trump said in an interview to Daily Mail. ‘I would be happy if she actively participates in my campaign.’

Trump’s interview with the Daily Mail came a few weeks after the attack on him at a rally in Pennsylvania on July 13. In this, he said, ‘I would like that… It’s not just about them attending my rallies. This is a bad world for me.’

Along with this, Trump had said that the situation has become such that he would like his family to stay away from his rallies instead of joining them.

Trump had claimed that Melania cares about America and will do whatever is necessary for the nation.

Trump has five children from his three marriages. He married Melania Trump in 2005. Trump has a son from Melania whose name is Barron Trump.
