Former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, Home Minister Amit Shah and Savarkar.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday strongly attacked the Congress. In response to the discussions on the Constitution in the Federal House, he cornered the Congress on various issues such as reservation, Article 370, Article 35-A, etc. In this episode, he asked the Congress about Savarkar. Amit Shah said I cannot repeat what senior Congress leaders said about Savarkar Ji. The word ‘Veer’ before Savarkar’s name was suggested by the public and not the government. During this time, he also narrated Indira Gandhi’s views on Savarkar.
Amit Shah said that after Savarkar’s death, Indira Gandhi had said that Savarkarji was a great patriot. Quoting a letter from former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, the Home Minister said that you are not listening to Indira Ji at all. The political parties and the people are required not to associate patriotism, bravery, and dedication with the party. The person who makes the sacrifice is the victim.
Savarkar has been described as India’s extraordinary son.
Home Minister says making sacrifices for the country can be linked to any law? I would like to quote two quotes from Indira Ji, in which she describes Savarkar as a great person. Secondly, he wrote a letter to Bakare in which he described Savarkar as an extraordinary son of India.
Chapter 370
Amit Shah said that the Congress Party, which raised the slogan of eradicating poverty, had kept the people of the country in poverty for 75 years. In fact, the Modi government has done a good job in eradicating poverty. For 70 years, Congress has carried Article 370 in its lap like a bastard child. When Modi became Prime Minister again in 2019, he abolished Article 370 in the House of Representatives. These people used to say that if Article 370 was cancelled, there would be a river of blood, but today no one has the courage to even throw a stone.
