Heavy rain continues across the country. Flood-like conditions are prevailing in some states, due to which life has become disrupted. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert of heavy rain in Karnataka, Chhattisgarh, Tamil Nadu, Rayalaseema, Kerala, Gangetic West Bengal and East Rajasthan on August 16.

According to IMD, the maximum temperature of Delhi is likely to remain between 32 to 34 degrees Celsius this entire week and the minimum temperature is likely to be around 25 to 27 degrees Celsius.

According to IMD, widespread light/moderate rain is likely over Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Scattered to widespread rainfall may occur in Punjab, Haryana Chandigarh-Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan during the week. There is a possibility of isolated heavy rainfall in Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad and Western Rajasthan during 16-17th. There is a possibility of rain in Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh during 16-21 August, in Himachal Pradesh during 16-21 August, in Punjab on 15th and in Haryana-Chandigarh-Delhi on 16th August. It may rain in East Rajasthan on 16th August.

There is a possibility of very heavy rainfall at some places in Chhattisgarh on August 16.
