The capital Delhi and its adjoining areas are expected to receive heavy rains for 4 days from today, due to depression and upper level trough. Due to this weather phenomenon, heavy rains are expected in northern Madhya Pradesh (MP), western Uttar Pradesh (UP), eastern Haryana and Uttarakhand between September 11-14. According to recent weather models, this pressure is going to collide with the upper level trough in the next 36-48 hours. Due to this interaction, the pressure will move towards the north-east under the guidance of the jet stream. Heavy rains are expected in these areas as it moves from western Uttar Pradesh towards Uttarakhand.

According to weather forecasting agency Skymet, moderate to heavy rains are possible in Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha, Madhya Pradesh and South Uttar Pradesh. Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha, East Rajasthan and East Gujarat may receive light to moderate rains with one or two heavy spells.
