Weapons cache found in Lebanese mosque, Hezbollah hiding grenade launchers and missiles

Israeli attacks on Lebanon and Gaza continue. Israel is launching a fierce attack on two fronts. Air strikes are being carried out on the one hand and ground military and search operations on the other. Meanwhile, a cache of weapons belonging to Hezbollah was discovered in a mosque in the middle of a civilian area in southern Lebanon. These include grenade launchers, shoulder-fired missiles, rockets, combat jackets, cornet missiles and lethal weapons.

The Israel Defense Forces shared images of the weapons via its official X (Twitter) account. In addition to this, there are reports that Hezbollah fighters are using civilian areas to carry out terrorist activities. Mosques are not places to store weapons, but Hezbollah turned them into centers of terrorism. On Wednesday, the Israel Defense Forces carried out airstrikes on five locations in the southern Lebanese city. During this period, many missiles and rockets landed in the middle of the city.

Earlier on Tuesday, Israeli forces also launched a heavy attack. At least a dozen people were killed in the incident. In the Gaza Strip, Israeli forces have begun a major campaign to eliminate Hezbollah in Lebanon. Following this, a powerful attack was launched against his hideout and a building near Rafik Hariri University Hospital in southern Beirut. Many people died in the incident and many others were reported missing. These people are being searched.

A plane landed at Beirut International Airport late at night, shortly after the latest attack in Beirut’s southern suburbs. Israeli forces say their goal is to push Hezbollah militants back to the border. According to Lebanese officials, more than 1.2 million people have been displaced multiple times as a result of Israeli actions. Meanwhile, Israel confirmed for the first time the death of Hezbollah successor Hashem Safieddine.

Meanwhile, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken is visiting Tel Aviv to try to stop the war and reach a deal. This is his 11th visit. Blinken arrived in Tel Aviv on a Middle East tour to seek a ceasefire in Gaza and the release of hostages following the death of Hamas chief Yahya Sinwar. There, he met with the Israeli Defense Minister and, before that, with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The discussion between them lasted more than two hours.
