We will allow Parliament to function… Rahul Gandhi to speak at Constitution Day discussion

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi

Opposition leader in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday said the opposition wants the House to function normally and debate the constitution on December 13 as agreed. I’ve seen the speakers. Told him that the derogatory comments about me should be deleted. A spokesman said the matter would be investigated. Our aim is that the House should function and discussions should take place in the House. Whatever they say about me, we want the debate to take place on December 13th.

According to Congress sources, Rahul Gandhi will also address the Constitution Day discussion. Time will decide on that. It is said that Rajnath Singh may initiate discussions. Then Rahul Gandhi could speak. A final decision on timing has not yet been made.

Congress wants to discuss Manipur and Adani issues

Rahul Gandhi said the BJP does not want to discuss the allegations against Gautam Adani. We will not leave this issue. They will continue to blame us, but the House should play its role. Proceedings in the House of Representatives were constantly disrupted due to agitation by the opposition. Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi raised the issue of the situation in Manipur in the Lok Sabha today. He said people are worried that basic services are coming to an end and the impact on ordinary people will be devastating.

Gogoi asked when Prime Minister Narendra Modi would visit Manipur and when Home Minister Amit Shah would brief the House about the steps being taken to deal with the situation. He also claimed that the BJP was raising the issue of George Soros to cover up the failures of his government. Amid the uproar, Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal said the government was taking necessary steps to address the situation in Manipur. He claimed that the Congress was linked to external forces and as a result problems arose and the country suffered. He claimed there were ties between Congress and George Soros. He asked: “Why is George Soros so close to their leader?”
