The country is celebrating its 78th Independence Day today. On this occasion, from the ramparts of the Red Fort, Prime Minister Modi also spoke about the Olympic Games to be held in 2036. He said that we want India’s standard to become the world’s standard. We are working towards Design in India, Design for World.
He said that what no G-20 country could do, the people of India have done it. If there is any country that can achieve the target of renewable energy that was set in Paris before time, it is our India only.
Regarding the 2036 Olympic Games, PM Modi said that G-20 meetings were held all over the country, in different cities. This proves that India has the capacity to organize even bigger events. We are preparing for the 2036 Olympic Games to be held in India. He congratulated the medal winners of the Paris Olympics and also extended best wishes to the athletes preparing to go to Paris for the Paralympics.
