After Saharanpur jeweler Saurabh Babbar committed suicide, now there is only one question on everyone’s lips that what happened on the day of the incident due to which Saurabh jumped into the river with his wife Mona. When Golu, who worked in Saurabh’s shop, was talked about this, he told the whole story. Golu says that on the night of 9th August, Saurabh bhaiya gave me the keys of the shop and left. Came to my house to give the keys. But he went missing since then. Committee members are saying that there was a lucky draw on 10th August. Bhaiya himself had called him to a hotel, but he neither answered the phone nor came himself. After this, on August 11, it came to light that he had committed suicide along with his sister-in-law. Sister-in-law’s body has not been found yet.
While talking to ‘Aaj Tak’ Golu said that I Saurabh Babbar I have known brother since he opened his jewelery shop 12 years ago. Saurabh bhaiya came to me at 2:00 am on the night of 9th August and gave me the keys of the shop and went away. I used to stay at Saurabh bhaiya’s shop throughout the day and go to my home to sleep at night. Saurabh bhaiya had come to my house to give the keys and since then he went missing. Saurabh bhaiya had been running the committee for a long time and everything was going well, I don’t know what kind of depression came suddenly that bhaiya had to do this.

According to Golu- Bhaiya used to run Gold Committee which is also called Kitty Committee. In this, a member gives ₹ 2000 every month. Similarly, 6-7 committees were running. Whoever opened his committee first was given gold/silver worth ₹ 25000 and after that his committee ended there. Brother used to buy gold from the market and take payment, but I don’t know from whom he took it. Brother used to deal himself. I used to just carry the goods and talk to whoever I wanted. Till now nothing has been known about sister-in-law (Mona).
According to Golu, before this incident (before jumping into the Ganga), Saurabh Bhaiya had sent me two photos and audio on WhatsApp. The photo was of the bridge of Haridwar. He was saying in the audio that Golu, show this to everyone, we are leaving the world. I am telling the truth, brother never let me realize how depressed he was from within.
It is noteworthy that jeweler Saurabh Babbar, resident of Kishunappura, Saharanpur, burdened with debt, committed suicide by jumping into the Ganga river in Haridwar along with his wife Mona. Saurabh’s body was recovered on Monday. After which he was brought to Saharanpur and cremated. However, the body of wife Mona has not been found yet. Everyone is shocked by the death of the couple. There was chaos in the family. The couple has two children. Daughter is 11 years old and son is 7 years old.
