According to the Meteorological Department, 17 NDRF teams have been deployed in Tamil Nadu to prepare for rescue operations in response to Cyclone Vangarh, including Chennai, Tiruvallur, Mayiladuthurai, Nagapattinam, Cuddalore and Thanjavur districts.
