After that, kumkum, akshat, abeer, gulal, turmeric, flowers, fruits, dry fruits, sweets etc. are offered to both the deities. Rangoli is made with flour and seven kinds of grains are placed on it. A pot of water is also prepared during the puja. Aarti of both the gods is performed by displaying incense etc.
