Congress President Malikajun Haq addressed the rally
The Maharashtra Assembly election campaign is now in its final phase. Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge lashed out at the BJP while addressing a rally in Sangli on Sunday. He compared the RSS and the BJP to poison and said the poisonous snakes should be killed. Apart from this, he also attacked the Yogi government over the fire that killed 10 children at the Jhansi Medical College in Uttar Pradesh.
Haq said that if there is a politically dangerous victory in the country, it is that of the BJP and the RSS. Both are like poison. For example, if a snake bites a person, he will die. In this case, the venomous snake should be killed. He said the election was to elect the Maharashtra Assembly and not the Prime Minister of the state. His thirst for power remains unsatisfied.
Rebel Vishal Patil targeted, but his name not revealed
Congress president Vishal Patil did not name the Congress rebel and independent MP from Sangli but accused him of betraying the party and supporting Patil’s relatives to contest as independent candidates. Parliamentary elections were held on November 20. He said the number of leaders contesting in Maharashtra is much more than the number of candidates contesting the elections.
Targeting Yogi Adityanath, leader of the BJP’s firebrand and Uttar Pradesh chief minister, he said he had no idea what had happened to him. A fire broke out at a hospital in Jhansi, killing 10 children, but the Maharashtra Prime Minister’s public meeting did not stop.
Mocking Prime Minister Modi
Taking a dig at Prime Minister Modi, Haq said yesterday he was here and today he is abroad. Manipur is burning, people are dying there and tribal women are being humiliated, but the Prime Minister of the country has never visited Manipur. I want to tell them to protect their families first and strengthen their country first. After that you can go anywhere.
Haq also raised doubts about the outcome of meetings with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Donald Trump, as well as the presidents of Russia and China. Congress leaders said his age will not stop him from supporting the Congress’ ideology and meeting the people.
