Now new videos are emerging of the violence in Balesh. Another such video has surfaced. In the photo, Rupendra Gaur, the then Maharishi district police officer, is seen holding a tear gas gun before retreating after firing into the violent crowd in front of the Maharajganj market where the incident took place. But among the rocks flying ahead, the scene of arson was clearly visible.

Action has been taken against CO Rupendra Gaur
In the viral video, a police officer is also heard saying… No, no, we’re going to cause more riots. However, no police officers were prepared to speak out about the viral video. Please note that Mahsi CO Rupendra Gaur has been removed due to inadvertence. Meanwhile, another SP Pavitra Mohan Tripathi was also removed from office on charges of negligence.
Durga Prasad Tiwari replaced Pavitra Mohan Tripathi as the new additional SP of Bahraich. And Pavitra Mohan Tripathi has been attached to the DGP headquarters. BJP MLA Mahsi Sureshwar Singh filed an FIR on October 13 in connection with the violence and a case was registered against eight persons, including Arpit Srivastava, at the city police station, following which further action was possible. A case has been registered under the serious category of rioting, stone pelting and attempt to murder. An investigation into the matter has been launched.

Violence broke out on October 13
At around 6 pm on October 13, Ram Gopal Mishra, a resident of Rehua Mansoor village in Balaichhadi police station area, participated in the immersion procession of the Durga idol. When the procession passed through a particular neighborhood in Maharajganj market, an argument broke out between the two parties. During this time, stones were allegedly started being thrown from the roof, leading to a stampede during the soak. Meanwhile, Ram Gopal was shot dead on the roof.
