Violence in Manipur.
Armed men, firing from hilly areas, launched multiple bomb attacks in parts of Ramrai assembly constituency in Manipur’s Imphal East district on Sunday. Police officials said the Army, Border Security Force and police retaliated, leading to fierce gun battles in Sunsabi and Sabungkhok Khunau.
He told us that farmers are unable to tend their fields due to fires from the mountains of San Sabi to the lowland areas. In this case, there was a tense atmosphere in the village. Police said more troops had been deployed to control the situation.
