Indian wrestler Vinesh Phogat had performed brilliantly in Paris Olympics 2024. Vinesh had reached the finals of 50 kg wrestling event. However, before the final, he was found to be 100 grams overweight, due to which he was disqualified. Vinesh Phogat appealed to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) against her disqualification and demanded that she be awarded the combined silver medal. However, CAS rejected the appeal of star wrestler Vinesh Phogat.
Now Vinesh Phogat is returning home today (17th August). Vinesh’s flight is going to land at Indira Gandhi Airport in Delhi. Preparations have been made to welcome Vinesh from Indira Gandhi Airport in Delhi to her village Balali for her return home. The villagers are very excited to welcome Vinesh. Vinesh’s brother Harvinder said about Vinesh, ‘Vinesh is returning to the country. People have come to Delhi airport to welcome him. People are waiting to welcome him in our village also. People are excited to meet Vinesh and encourage her.
