Disqualified just before the gold medal match
Let us tell you that during the Paris Olympics, Vinesh had secured the silver medal by entering the final of 50 kg freestyle wrestling. But he was disqualified just before the medal match, because his weight was 100 grams more than before the Olympic gold medal match.
After this Vinesh filed a case in CAS, the decision on which is to be given on 16th August. In such a situation, Vinesh Phogat is still hopeful of getting justice. If the decision comes in Vinesh’s favor, they will jointly get the silver medal.
