In Bihar, the Ganges has begun to show its ferocious form, flooding many cities and villages. Thousands of people living on the riverbanks have been left homeless again after five years due to the rising water level of the Ganges. Many areas in cities such as Patna and Munger have been flooded.
Around a dozen villages in Patna district are completely in flood and houses are submerged due to the breach of Ganga. The water of Ganga has breached the dam and is flowing on the highway. The floodwater has reached NH 31 in Athamalgola block.
About a foot of water flowed on the highway, slowing down vehicles. Thousands of people were displaced in Diyala village of Ramnagar near the highway due to rising water level of Ganga.
The flood affected areas are flooded with water everywhere. People are forced to leave their homes and take shelter on the roadsides in some way. The water level of Ganga has not dropped in the last 12 hours.
All villages in Diyala district were hit by floods due to the rising water level of Ganges. Hundreds of people were displaced by the floods and took shelter in open areas on higher ground.
Water flow on NH 31
The Ganga river, about 1 foot high, is flowing from Bakhtiarpur to Mokama. Six villages in Diyala area of Bakhtiarpur district have also been hit by floods. There is no one to take care of the helpless flood victims in many areas of Diyala village.

In such a situation, flood victims can only look towards the Ganga so that they can return to their homes if the water level drops.
