Passengers staged a riot at the Biju Patnaik International Airport in Odisha’s capital Bhubaneswar on Thursday to protest against flight cancellations. More than 50 passengers protested at the airport. Upset over repeated cancellations of flights from Bhubaneswar to Hyderabad, air passengers staged a protest at the Bhubaneswar Airport on Thursday, November 7.

It is understood that the Wednesday flight to Hyderabad was canceled and the flight was rescheduled to 8.45 am on Thursday. But when the Thursday flight was also cancelled, passengers at the airport got angry and started protesting inside the airport itself .

Protest video goes viral

As of now, the flight operating authority has not provided clarification on the matter. Passengers were dissatisfied as flights were canceled again on Thursday. A video of passengers protesting has also surfaced, in which they can be seen calling airline officials “Kohinoor” (the best diamond). When airport security objected to this, passengers said that if they had been taken to where they were supposed to be according to their tickets, the whole thing would have been over.

Video producer misconduct

While passengers were on strike, someone also started taking videos. The person who filmed the video first walked towards the passenger, then towards the security staff and the staff at the counter. During this time, an airline official standing outside the counter asks you how many followers you have. The person who made the video replied that he had 2,000 followers, and then the official said that he made the video to increase his followers. The guy who made the video said he made it to show your reality.
