Uttar Pradesh Deputy Prime Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya arrived in Kanpur on Sunday to worship at the Gurudwara in Gumti. The Deputy Prime Minister welcomed the announcement by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to celebrate ‘Veer Saptah’ on December 26 and expressed his gratitude to him. He said, “From today, Veer Saptah begins and I am honored to worship here.”
The deputy prime minister responded to opposition leaders’ reaction to Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat’s statement. Supporting Mohan Bhagwat’s statement, he said some people want to prove themselves as leaders of Hindus by raising issues like temples and mosques. Targeting Akhilesh, he said if he was so attached to the Sangh, then Akhilesh Yadav could start joining Sangh branches.
Rahul Gandhi succession politics – deputy chief minister
Taking a dig at the recent uproar in the Congress and Rahul Gandhi’s attitude, Moriya said Rahul Gandhi inherited politics. He said: “If Rahul Gandhi entered politics through struggle, his behavior would not be like this.” His attitude shows his arrogance.
The Deputy Prime Minister termed the ‘Week of Bravery’ announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi as historic and said the initiative will serve as a medium to commemorate the great warriors of Indian culture and history. Paying homage to the Shrine, he described it as a wonderful experience and said such places inspire us in the pursuit of truth and service.
Deputy chief minister mocks opposition party
During his visit to Kanpur, the Deputy Prime Minister also discussed various local issues and said the state government is fully committed to development and public welfare. He mocked the opposition parties, saying the public now understood who was working for them and who was just trying to make a political appearance. His visit is also considered important in the preparations for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
