Responding to a question about the Indian Foreign Secretary’s recent visit to Bangladesh, Miller said, “We hope that all parties will resolve their differences peacefully.”

British Foreign Secretary visits Bangladesh

This comes after Foreign Minister Misri visited Bangladesh on Monday and briefed him on India’s concerns about the safety of minorities in Bangladesh. “I emphasized India’s willingness to work closely with the interim government of Bangladesh,” Misri told reporters in Dhaka at the end of his visit. We also had the opportunity to discuss some recent developments and issues, and I informed him of concerns related to the safety and welfare of ethnic minorities.

Sheikh Hasina surrounds Muhammad Yunus

Former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina also lashed out at the head of the country’s interim government, Mohammad Yunus. Recently, Hasina, while participating in an Awami League program online, said Muhammad Yunus had plunged Bangladesh into anarchy. He has said that it was because of Yunus that mass killings occurred in Bangladesh and Hindus were targeted and that he was behind all this.

‘Mass murder was part of the plan’

Sheikh Hasina also said that attacks on places of worship of ethnic minorities, Hindus, Christians and Buddhists have increased in Bangladesh since August 5. We condemn this. The General Assembly and terrorists will be able to do whatever they want under the new regime. He has said that Yunus carried out mass killings according to a carefully planned plan. (language)
